Influenced by Greek food philosophy and that of Mount Athos, ALEO is a gourmet journey through Mediterranean cuisine, combining the classic with the contemporary, to achieve bold, exciting and comforting flavors among its innovative culinary compositions.
In addition to its diverse food menu, this all day hot spot, also features an extensive wine list and signature cocktails.
Inside the restaurant, one can also find a deli shop, which sells high quality Greek products, such as extra virgin oil, traditional pasta, chutneys, herbs and spices, olives, wines, Greek coffee brewed in Greece, homemade beverages etc.
Head and co-owner of the restaurant, is renowned chef Dionysis Papanikolaou, who was awarded Gold by Premium Awards, both in 2017 and 2018, as Executive Chef of Su Casa in Athens and Ammo Ammo in Alexandroupolis consecutively, in the “Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine – Seafood” category.
His career in the hospitality industry includes: Co-founder and Executive chef of the famous seafood restaurant “7 Thalasses” in Thessaloniki, but also Executive chef of restaurants in Riyadh, Izmir, Mykonos and Kefallonia.
He currently manages a team of hospitality staff, such as chefs, sous chefs, cooks, hosts, sommeliers, servers etc, who he places in restaurants he oversees. These include Su Casa in Glyfada, Athens, Ammo Ammo beach bar & restaurant in Alexandroupolis and Almyvita restaurant at the Sun & Sea Plus Resort in Crete. His signature dish, also included in ALEO’s menu, are royal scallops in a champagne sauce, with saffron, prawns, gold hearing eggs…and a surprise twist!
